Attorney: 'Appalling' for Wal-Mart to blame Morgan

NEWARK, N.J. - An attorney representing actor-comedian Tracy Morgan says it's "appalling" that Wal-Mart calls Morgan partly to blame for injuries he suffered in a New Jersey highway accident involving one of the company's trucks.

Morgan filed a lawsuit over the June accident, which killed a friend accompanying the former "Saturday Night Live" and "30 Rock" star back from a show in Delaware. Morgan spent weeks in rehab with rib and leg injuries.

Bentonville, Arkansas-based Wal-Mart Stores Inc. says in a Monday court filing the passengers' injuries were caused by their failure to properly wear seatbelts.

Authorities say the Georgia truck driver hadn't slept for more than 24 hours before the crash.
