McFun for Poe Elementary McTeacher's

On Wednesday, September 24th, Poe School PTO held a McTeacher's Night at the new McDonald's on 15 E. Dundee Rd. in Arlington Heights. Teachers took over the restaurant serving up delicious meals to students and families to raise money for the Poe PTO. Teachers working included: Marianne Chung, Jill Ziegler, Julie Boeing, Adam Long, Tatyana Ruditskaya, Verna Neumann, Sue Kazmierczak, Chris Zima, Brittany Ruffolo, Katie Knautz, Nancy Zurek, Ella Muzikant and McPrincipal Demaret. There were even teachers singing for tips. Poe McTeachers had it all covered, and the families all had a great time.The School plans to use the money raised to go into a fund for future programming. Lots of students, teachers, families and friends came out to support the school. All the kids came to see their teachers work at the new Arlington Heights McDonald's. A special appearance by Tommy Hawk helped make this fundraiser a memorable evening. Special thank you goes to Poe PTO President Tracy Roehrick, who organized the entire event. It was a great night!
