Warren, Carmel take tourney titles

Warren wins: Behind a couple of dominating singles performances, Warren won the championship of the Crystal Lake Central Invitational.

Karyna Bihel of Warren defeated Ana Hatfield for the No. 1 singles title, 6-3, 6-0 while Alex Mella of Warren won the No. 2 singles match over Kayla Vittore of Belvidere North, 6-0, 6-0.

Lake Zurich placed third overall, thanks in part to the No. 2 doubles team of Stephanie Johnsen and Emily Leahy. They won their match over Prairie Ridge, 6-1, 6-3.

Carmel takes first: With 32 team points, Carmel won the Lakes Invite.

Bri Minor of Carmel defeated Gaby Schoenberg of Grant 6-3, 6-1 to take the No. 1 singles title.

Marie Kepelevich of Carmel defeated Nicole Tatsuguchi of Grayslake Central 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 2 singles match.
