In the 15-team McDermand Invitational at Lake Bluff Golf Course, Stevenson's boys golf team finished in second place on Saturday. Champion Loyola narrowly edged the Patriots by a stroke, 303-304.

Jason Gohde was Stevenson's top golfer with a 72, good for second place overall.

Will Connelly of New Trier finished first with a 71.

Warren finished ninth (327) while Libertyville (336) and Carmel (337) were 11th and 12th respectively.

Jack Hansen was fifth overall with a 73 while Stevenson's Kevin Chin (75) and Kameren Sandhu (76) finished sixth and eighth, respectively.

Ram Invite: At the Grayslake Central Ram Invite held at Stonewall Orchard Golf Club, Ryan Magee helped Mundelein take second place with a 306. He finished in second place overall with a 71.

Matt Winkelmann of Wheaton North took first place with a 67 and Wheaton North won the team championship with a 291.

Grayslake Central finished in tenth place with a 343.
