Open house Saturday at old Arlington High
Northwest Suburban High School District 214 will formally kick off its centennial observance with an open house Saturday at the former Arlington High School, the district's first and, for several decades, only school. The building, now home to Christian Liberty Academy, was closed in 1984 amid declining enrollment. The public event will include a screening of the Arlington High School documentary "Our Lady in Red," a moderated conversation with alumni and former staff, a display of memorabilia, self-guided tours and the opportunity to record video memories of the school and its place in history. The event begins with registration at 9:30 a.m., followed by the film at 10. The school is at 502 W. Euclid Avenue.
