Elgin 360 Photography Club focuses on fall foliage

Autumn in upon us and despite the shorter days and sweater weather, the change in seasons does provide photographers an opportunity to capture the vibrant and rich colors of fall foliage.

The Elgin 360 Photography Club presents "Focus on Fall Foliage"at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at Side Street Studio Arts, 15 Ziegler Court in downtown Elgin. Networking begins at 7 p.m.

Photographer James Kalemis will discuss photography techniques and shooting tips to capture vivid fall foliage images as well as share some of his favorite local haunts to seek out the perfect serene scenes of autumn leaves and trees.

Elgin 360 Photography Club's monthly meetings are now held the second Thursday of each month at their brand new home at Side Street Studio Arts, 15 Ziegler Court. Meetings are open to everyone from beginning hobbyists to advanced pros.

There is a $2 suggested donation at the door.

Before the October meeting, attendees are invited to join other Elgin 360 Photography Club members for dinner at Elgin Public House, 219 E. Chicago St. in downtown Elgin beginning at 5:45 p.m.
