Actors/musicians needed for Oakton production

Showcase your acting or musical talent by auditioning for Oakton's production of the rock-n-roll comedy "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson." Tryouts are 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, and Thursday, Sept. 25, at the college's Des Plaines campus. No appointment is necessary.

"Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson" is an experiential musical about the man who launched the Democratic Party and shaped the way our political system works today. The director is seeking men and women of all ages and ethnicities, especially those who play guitar or bass (bring instrument to audition).

Prepare 32 bars of song (approximately one minute) from any contemporary American musical. Rock/pop musicals are preferred. Bring sheet music for the accompanist and be ready for cold readings.

Oakton's Des Plaines campus is at 1600 E. Golf Road.

"Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson" will be performed Nov. 13-16, and Nov. 20-23.
