Eastbound ramp shut down on I-290 near North Avenue

An exit ramp on eastbound I-290 leading to North Avenue near Elmhurst has been shut down because a truck rolled over, authorities said.

Authorities said the truck rolled over at 6:36 a.m. and dumped its payload onto the roadway and shoulder of the eastbound ramp.

The cause of the accident and the number of injuries is unknown.

Authorities are unsure how long the ramp will remain closed.
