Body of retreat owner found in submerged car

ST. CROIX FALLS, Wis. - Authorities say one of the owners of a western Wisconsin retreat has been found dead in a submerged car on the property.

Polk County sheriff's officials say the body of 39-year-old Blair Piper was discovered Sunday at the Big Rock Creek Retreat north of St. Croix Falls. The Star Tribune reports investigators haven't said how the car became submerged up to it roof line.

The 1,600-acre retreat has biking and cross-country ski trails and waters for swimming and fishing.
