Arlington police accepting unwanted drugs
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Arlington Heights Police Department will coordinate efforts to remove potentially dangerous drugs from homes.
The ninth National Prescription Take-Back Initiative will provide an opportunity for the public to surrender unwanted, expired and unused pharmaceuticals and unwanted over the counter medication to law enforcement officers for proper disposal. This will be a great opportunity for those who have accumulated unused or unwanted prescription drugs to safely dispose of them.
The Prescription Take-Back Initiative will take place 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at the police department, 200 E. Sigwalt St. The service is free and anonymous. Tablets, capsules and all other solid dosage forms will be accepted. Intravenous solutions, injectables and syringes will not be accepted.
