Northbound Rand Road down to one lane in Kildeer

Officials said northbound Rand Road in Kildeer was down to one lane during the afternoon rush hour due to a natural gas leak.

Nicor Gas workers were attempting to fix the leak, according to a Kildeer police dispatcher. Northbound Rand Road remained down to one lane starting at Deer Park Boulevard.

It was not immediately known when all lanes of the busy thoroughfare will reopen.
