Child safety seat checks:

The Lake County Sheriff's Office will have a child safety seat check point on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the office's Highway Patrol Substation at 1301 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville, according to a news release. The event is part of Child Passenger Safety Week, which is Sept. 14 to 20. Sheriff's deputies will check any vehicles and child safety seats brought in for proper installation and answer questions. The event is free to the public.
