Hoffman Estates police, fire softball fundraiser Sept. 27

Hoffman Estates' police officers and firefighters will hold their second annual Shootz & Ladderz Softball Fundraiser from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27 at Cannon Crossings, 1675 Nicholson Drive, in Hoffman Estates.

The event will include raffle prizes, commemorative T-shirts for sale, pop, water, candy and snacks. Proceeds will go toward new Citizens Fire Academy equipment for the fire department.

The rain date will be at the same hours and location on Saturday, Oct. 4. To get to the field, take Shoe Factory Road west from Route 59, then turn south on McDonongh Road.
