Gurnee Sept. 11 remembrance:

Exchange Club of Gurnee will host the annual Sept. 11 remembrance ceremony from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Viking Park's band shell, 4374 Old Grand Ave. The free ceremony will feature posting of colors by a fire and police honor guard and guest speakers Gurnee Mayor Kristina Kovarik and Navy Capt. William Bulis. In addition, the ceremony will have a presentation of the Exchange Clubs's firefighter and law enforcement of the year awards, as well as an award for police civilian employee of the year.
