Long Grove Strawberry Fest appears on Food Network

People who attended the Long Grove Strawberry Festival in June may see themselves on the Food Network on Monday when an episode of "Eating America with Anthony Anderson," which was taped at the fest, airs at 9:30 p.m.

According to TV Guide, Anderson "chats with competing chefs, challenges kids to a berry-eating contest and tries his hand at balloon art," during the episode.

The June festival did not skimp on the strawberries. Vendors sold strawberry scones, strawberry barbecue sauce, strawberry-flavored lemonade, strawberry doughnuts, ravioli filled with fresh strawberries and ricotta and, of course, straight-up strawberries.
