Retired teachers luncheon, meeting:

The Lake County Retired Teachers Association will meet at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at Lambs Farm restaurant at Route 176 and the Tri-State Tollway near Libertyville. The cost is $16 per person for the buffet luncheon and meeting. The event will feature a panel of state senators serving Lake County, including Pamela J. Althoff, Melinda Bush, Terry Link and Julie Morrison. They will discuss issues relating to state finances, including, but not limited to pension issues. They will accept audience questions. All retired educators are welcome to attend and no reservations are necessary.
