Police: Elgin man exposed himself, threatened people

An Elgin man was arrested Monday on charges he exposed himself and threatened people outside an Elgin school, police said.

Just before 2:30 p.m., Elgin police were called about a person acting in a threatening and irrational manner in the parking lot of St. Laurence School, police said in a news release.

Police arrested Sonny T. Costello, 24, of the 100 block of Jewett Street, and charged him with public indecency and resisting a police officer - both class A misdemeanors.
