Storms cause scattered Indiana road flooding

HARTFORD CITY, Ind. - Thunderstorms dropping heavy rain in northern and central Indiana have snarled travel in some places with road flooding.

The National Weather Service issued flash flood warnings for several counties Friday morning, with 3 inches or more of rainfall overnight in spots.

Blackford County emergency management director Aaron Henderson says the county just north of Muncie saw "boatload of rain," but that scattered road flooding was the most serious problem. Henderson says the county's school district delayed opening so drivers would have more light to see flooded areas.
