Bartlett Woman's Club assists women re-entering college

The Bartlett Woman's Club gave out two $900 scholarships, from money raised at the Bartlett Woman's Club annual Spring Fashion Show Fundraiser. The Woman's Re-entry Scholarship was established to assist women, age 21 and older, who wish to re-enter the business or education field.

The winners of the annual Woman's Re-entry Scholarships are Carey Haegeland, who will be attending Harper College for business administration and Tirzah Nikolaou, who will attend Elgin Community College for nursing.

The Bartlett Woman's Club is for women, ages 18 and older, and sponsors many social and philanthropic events, including a senior citizen's lunch, lunch with the Easter Bunny, spring scholarship fashion show, Supper Club, Breakfast Club, Bunco Club, Special Olympics events, and monthly first Tuesday 7 p.m. meetings at the Log Cabin with guest speakers, and more.
