Experienced skydiver from Boston dies during jump

PEPPERELL, Mass. - Police say an experienced Boston skydiver has died during a jump, and it's unclear whether his equipment malfunctioned.

Police tell WCVB that 37-year-old Daniel Pelrine died Sunday morning at the Skydive Pepperell Center.

Police say Pelrine died at the scene of blunt trauma.

He was a resident of the Boston neighborhood Mattapan.

The Federal Aviation Administration and Pepperell police are investigating.
