Golf outing Sept. 12 a fundraiser for Friends of Nathan Foundation

The Friends of Nathan Foundation will hold its eighth annual golf outing on Friday, Sept. 12, at Whisper Creek at Del Webb, 12840 Del Webb Blvd., Huntley.

Registration begins at 11 a.m., with the shotgun start at 1 p.m. There will be four hole-in-one prizes. The reception begins at 6 p.m., featuring a silent auction, raffles and golf prizes.

The fee is $150 and includes 18 holes of golf in a foursome scramble format, free practice range, goodie bag, lunch, and buff dinner. Cost for golf only is $115; cost for dinner only is $60. Reservations are due by Thursday, Sept. 4. Visit thefonf.org.

The Friends of Nathan Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that was established to provide financial aid and support to children with cerebral palsy and other debilitating diseases. Since its inception in 2007 to support a single child with cerebral palsy, the foundation has reached out to more than 30 families with needy children and has provided funds and volunteer support for: respite care, specialized therapies, special needs furniture and enabling devices, home modifications (such as handicap ramps and bathrooms), service dogs, financial aid for uncovered medical services and Cobra payments, and a special needs summer camp.
