Hoffman Ests. Platzkonzert to include 5K race

The Village of Hoffman Estates annual Platzkonzert Germanfest on Saturday, Sept. 13, this year will include competitive 5K race through the scenic Prairie Stone Business Park.

Run over a flat, fast course, the Inaugural Platzkonzert Germanfest 5K will award medals and Cabela's gift cards to top race finishers by age category. All participants will receive a performance race T-shirt and commemorative beer stein.

The entry fee is $35 for preregistration and $40 for race-day registration. Preregistration by Sept. 5 is required to guarantee a race T-shirt. Runners and walkers interested can sign up online at www.platzkonzertgermanfest.com/5k.
