Free Lecture: Shedding Light on Breast Density

Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital announces a free community health lecture on breast density. The seminar is being held on Tuesday, August 19 from 6:30-8pm at the Garlands of Barrington.

Learn how supplementary screenings with MRI and ultrasound can help detect breast cancer where some mammograms may not. Kevin Kirshenbaum, MD, a board certified diagnostic radiologist, and Lisa Derken, MD, a board certified family physician, will discuss the importance in understanding your options and how new laws with breast sonography can benefit women with dense breasts.
