Bartlett kicks off photo exhibit with Chicago Hakka Chorus
An intimate concert in Bartlett Wednesday ushered in a new photo exhibit that plays off the village's ties with its sister city in Taiwan.
The Bartlett International Chorus and the Chicago Hakka Chorus performed traditional folk songs before a gathering that drew Taiwanese dignitaries to village hall.
The exhibit, "Light and Shadow," features the work of two Taiwanese photographers: Chang Hsiu-huang and Chang Yung-Chieh. Arts in Bartlett and the Midwest Hakka Association teamed up to bring the display - on loan from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Chicago - to the village hall gallery, 228 S. Main St.
The show runs through Aug. 30.
