Roots-music masters

For more than 30 years, the Holmes Brothers have been moving audiences with their three-way vocal harmonies and soulful music, a mix of blues, rock and soul. The trio, consisting of Wendell Holmes (guitar, piano), Sherman Holmes (bass) and "brother-in-spirit" Popsy Dixon (drums), are playing a free show in the suburbs this weekend.
