Be on watch for servere storms

Severe storms may be moving into the area.
The National Weather Service says a batch of showers and locally intense thunderstorms will continue to affect the northern and northwest suburbs of Chicago through 9:30 p.m. The thnderstorms will produce torrential rainfall and continuous lightning. In addition, there could be isolated incidents of stronger storms with hail as large as a half inch to an inch in diameter and wind gusts over 40 miles per hour.
