Retired teachers meet:

The Lake County Retired Teachers Association will meet at noon on Tuesday, Aug. 12, at Lambs Farm restaurant at Route 176 and I-94 near Libertyville. The cost is $16 per person for the buffet luncheon and meeting. Daniel M. Doyle, retired from the Federal Reserve, will talk about how the agency sets interest rates, supplies money and decides when to boost or slow the economy. All retired educators are welcome to attend and no reservations are necessary.
