River Road to close for four months:

River Road will be closed in Lake Barrington for four months beginning at 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11. The closure is needed to install the ground improvement columns that will stabilize the soils underneath the proposed roadway. The detour will be Roberts Road to Route 59 to Kelsey Road. This closure is expected to last until late November or early December. At that time, River Road will be reopened for the winter. In the interim, local traffic will have access to residences and businesses from the south. Tree removal is scheduled to begin Friday. Visit www.riverroberts.com.
