Gas leak slows traffic in Palatine

A gas leak at a major intersection in Palatine slowed traffic during the Thursday evening rush hour.

Traffic was moving slowly through the intersection of Lake-Cook Road and Rand Road about 4:30 p.m., when reports of a gas leak surfaced.

For about an hour, police closed Rand both ways from Lake-Cook to the Deer Park Town Center.
