Man charged with shooting at Round Lake Beach home

A Waukegan man is being held in Lake County jail on $100,000 bail on allegations he shot at a Round Lake Beach house just after midnight Saturday, authorities said.

Police responded to the 600 block of Weston Court after a caller reported that shots had been fired and numerous subjects were running from the scene, authorities said.

Officers found that several rounds of ammunition had been fired in the area, authorities said, and the home where a large party was taking place had been struck by a bullet.

The investigation revealed a disagreement occurred between partygoers, authorities said, and one of the people involved in the disagreement fired several gunshots at the home.

Arthur E. Triplett, 18, was taken into custody following an investigation by Round Lake Beach and Zion police. He has been charged with two counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm and a single count of battery, authorities said.

Round Lake Beach authorities said the investigation into the shooting continues.
