Dining events: Four new ways to Zoup up your day

Zoup!'s summer soups

Zoup! Fresh Soup Company introduces four new gazpacho soups for the summer. Try the simply gazpacho, served daily and made with assorted fresh veggies in tomato juice with a dash of Tabasco. Three soups rotate daily: savory cucumber, jalapeño four-pepper and southwest bean. All four are under 70 calories and less than 2 grams of fat.

El Tapeo to debut

El Tapeo restaurant and lounge opens Thursday, July 31, in Oak Brook. The 58-seat restaurant cooks up Latin and Spanish fusion cuisine by culinary artist and Chicago native Chef Franco Diaz. Located on the 9th floor of Le Meridien, El Tapeo offers great views and main course dishes like croquetas de marisco — crispy shellfish fritters. Hours are 6 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 6 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday with extended bar hours.

P.M. Prime now open

Considered “foodie friendly” as well as “THE place to go if you are a steak aficionado,” P.M. Prime debuted in Highwood this month. The menu includes steak classics and unusual cuts such as the wagyu hanger steak and entrees like the osso buco with saffron risotto or halibut with spaetzle and roasted beets. Sides include the forest mushrooms with pecans and goat cheese, and the asparagus succotash with sweet corn and peppers. Signature prime beef entrees start at $24. Open 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
