Mundelein blood drive

Mundelein Fire Department and LifeSource host an "Everyday Heroes Summer Blood Drive" on Thursday, July 3. The event runs from noon to 7 p.m. at Mundelein Fire Station #1 at 1000 N. Midlothian Road. Organizers say the goal is to provide more than 100 units of blood. Donate a pint of blood and be entered to win a surprise autographed Chicago Blackhawks keepsake. The first 125 donors will receive a free 9-inch pizza certificate courtesy of Hitz Pizza & Sports Bar. Reservations are welcome in advance at www.lifesource.org or call (877) 543-3768.
