Autopsy results show Lake Villa man drowned in swimming pool Sunday evening
An autopsy has confirmed a Lake Villa man found unresponsive at the bottom of his swimming pool had drowned, officials said Monday.
Bertil Sollenskog, 77, was identified by Lake County Coroner officials as the man discovered about 5 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block of E. Grand Avenue.
"It was confirmed that he did drown," Chief Deputy Coroner Orlando Portillo said. "Further findings are still pending. We still have to do toxicology," tests, he said.
Such tests are routine in cases the coroner's office investigates, he added.
Roger Schroeder, of the Lake Villa Police Department, said there is no indication of foul play, but he added the investigation into the death continues.
