One sweet ride prize in St. James' 150th anniversary raffle

St. James Episcopal Church in West Dundee is celebrating their 150th anniversary of parish ministry in northern Kane County.

A 1964 Ford Thunderbird Coupe appraised at $25,000 was donated and will be raffled on The Feast of Saint James on Sunday, July 27.

Only 3,000 tickets will be sold and each ticket is $20.

All proceeds will go to reduce the parish mortgage.

The car will be displayed at the parish and at various car events throughout Kane County. Watch for information on the website for events where they will be displaying the car.

St. James Episcopal Church, an open door since 1864, offers two Masses each Sunday. The spoken Holy Eucharist is at 8 a.m. and the Holy Eucharist with music is at 10 a.m. There is nursery available at 10 a.m.
