Carol Stephens of Park Ridge got kids to wiggle,
giggle, hop and stomp as she brought her sing a long music and movement activities to the Grayslake Public Library Wednesday night.
"When you are moving, you are more actively engaging your brain," says Stephens. "This is about connecting brain cells and music sometimes can connect in a way no other activity does."
Stephens has been a music educator to kids since 1989 when she formed her company Macaroni Soup.
Stephens travels the country entertaining kids and families with her singing and dancing music programs and also has seven award winning cd's.
The program was part of the Grayslake Public Library's program Paws to Read.
Kids earn prizes for reading throughout the summer. In lieu of a prize kids can donate their prize to Save-A-Pet on behalf of The Friends of the Library.
