3rd victim identified after river collision near Chicago
The Cook County medical examiner's office has identified the third victim of a fatal boating accident in the Cal-Sag Channel in the South suburbs as 39-year-old Bob Bielarz of Orland Park.
The Coast Guard says the man's body was found Monday morning without a life jacket. Two others died in Friday's crash of a 19-foot pleasure boat and a 66-foot commercial vessel.
The bodies of a man and a woman were recovered Saturday. They too weren't wearing life jackets. The Cook County medical examiner's office says 33-year-old Jeremy Muzika and 40-year-old Viengsavnh Bielarz died of drowning and multiple injuries. Their deaths have been ruled accidental.
An autopsy for the third victim is set for Tuesday.
