Wage increases will hurt seniors first
If you are retired or near retirement on a fixed income, you know what increasing prices can do to hurt you. And a politician who wants to raise the minimum wage will hurt you.
Fast food and store owners have already cut employees as much as they can, so when they only make pennies on each item they sell, they have to raise prices on your food, clothing and other essentials. Seniors will be the first to feel the effect. Younger workers, who the increased minimum wage is supposed to help, will soon slip back into their same standard of living, even if they don't lose their job.
