Dining events: Westwood Bistro to open in Lake Forest
Westwood Bistro set to open
A new contemporary American restaurant with French and Asian influences, Westwood Bistro, is set to open in Lake Forest in July. Led by executive chef Khammay, formerly of Irea 60 in Vernon Hills, Westwood Bistro will have indoor seating for 120 and room for 40 more outside. The bistro, a collaboration between Khammay and Ted Boufis of Grill No. 43 in Lake Bluff, will serve lunch and dinner daily and brunch on Sundays.
Westwood Bistro is at 950 N. Western Ave., Lake Forest.
Price increases for seasonal oysters
Stop in Country House for the Tuesday night oyster special: 59-cent oysters. The Blue Point oysters from Chesapeake Bay are served on the half shell. Economic pressure recently led the restaurant to increase the price of this special from 50 cents - the first increase in 10 years.
Country House has locations in Lisle, Geneva and Clarendon Hills. www.burgerone.com.
