Lake County Retired Teachers Association awards scholarships

Emily Cassity won an award of $1,000 from The Lake County Retired Teachers Association. She will be attending Augustana College and majoring in elementary education. She is a graduate of Grayslake North High School. Cassity and her mother were guests at the LCRTA luncheon Tuesday, June 10, at Lambs Farm restaurant in Libertyville.

Another winner, Samantha Soloway of Deerfield High School, will be attending Vanderbilt University majoring in Special Education. She was not present at the luncheon, as she is currently in Wisconsin receiving training at a special education camp.
