Child struck by car near downtown Antioch

A child was struck by a car Saturday night just east of Main Street in Antioch, authorities said.

Paramedics were called to the 300 block of Ida Avenue about 6:40 p.m., Antioch Fire Department Chief John Nixon said.

The child, whose identity and condition was not immediately known, was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
