Raise a glass to BACOA at Brew Fest

Enjoy live music, tasty food and craft brews at this year's 11th annual Barrington Brew Fest, Saturday, July 12, from 3-7 p.m., in the Fourth of July tent by the Metra station in downtown Barrington. All proceeds will benefit Barrington Area Council On Aging.

More than 40 craft brewers from the Midwest as well as from other parts of the country are expected. Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 on the day of the event. The fest will also offer a limited number of VIP tickets for $80, which will allow holders admission at 2:30 p.m. and include samplings of selected premium craft brews. The ticket price includes a tasting glass and brew sampling. The first 750 attendees at the gate will also receive a free Brew Fest T-shirt.

Primary sponsor for the event is McGonigal's Pub; other sponsors include Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers, Barrington Bank & Trust, Barrington Print & Copy, Brew & Grow, Whole Foods Market Kildeer, Hi I'm Skinny Sticks and G.H. Cretors Popped Corn.
