Household chemical waste event:

The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County hosts a household chemical waste collection on Saturday, June 14. Residents are invited to bring items such as CFL bulbs, unwanted prescription and over-the-counter medicines and supplements, household cleaners, gasoline, garden chemicals, pesticides, oil-based paints (no latex), varnishes and other household chemicals to 1311 N. Estes St., Gurnee. Appointments are free and required. No business waste will be accepted.
