Saint Hubert Catholic School Fourth Grade Students Spread the Warmth

On Monday, June 2nd, some fourth grade students at Saint Hubert Catholic School participated in a special community project by making colorful blankets. According to teacher Mrs. Deborah Bernau, "it has been a tradition in my classroom to make fleece blankets for children facing life-threatening illnesses or other crisis related situations. This wonderful volunteer opportunity is thanks to a long-standing donation of a very generous grandparent of one of my former students".

The students were able to successfully tie, fold, and send off 19 blankets. The blankets will be delivered to the children at St. Alexius Hospital as well as to a nearby shelter to celebrate the child's birthday. The students enjoyed the positive experience and especially giving back to children their age that are in need.
