No arrests after shootings at laundry

Chicago police are still searching for a suspect in a shooting outside a laundry that injured six people.

Police department spokesman Ron Gaines said Tuesday that the victims of Monday evening's shootings had nonlife-threatening injuries and most have already been treated and released from hospitals.

Two boys, ages 14 and 16, were among the wounded. The others ranged in age from 27 to 52.

Authorities initially said a seventh person was shot, but doctors determined the 25-year-old woman injured her toe while running to escape the gunfire.

Gaines says the shooting took place at a strip mall in the South Shore neighborhood. Some victims ran inside the laundry to take cover.

Gaines says no one was in custody Tuesday morning, and detectives were still trying to determine a motive.
