St. Peter seventh-graders win big at Illinois Science Fair

It was a big win recently for science and six seventh-graders from St. Peter Lutheran School in Arlington Heights at the Illinois Junior Academy of Science State Science Fair at Northern Illinois University DeKalb's Convocation Center.

More than 1,000 students from 200 schools across Illinois entered projects in the annual science fair and six St. Peter students won gold, silver and Best in Category honors.

Led by St. Peter science teacher, Paul Piel, the students entered and won for their science projects in consumer science, earth science and botany.
