Palatine Library launching summer reading program

Palatine Public Library will kick off its summer reading program from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at the main library, 700 N. North Court. The "PAWS to READ" itinerary of activities includes crafts, a visit from Biscuit (the puppy from children's books by Alyssa Satin Capucilli), face painting, bingo and a professional photo booth. Magician/juggler/storyteller Bob Kann will perform from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Tickets are available to district cardholders. Readers ages 2 through adult can join the Summer Reading Program at www.palatinelibrary.org or any library location.
