Gloria Estefan musical to premiere in Chicago next year

"On Your Feet!" - the new musical chronicling the life and career of Grammy Award-winner Gloria Estefan and her musician/producer husband Emilio Estefan - will premiere in Chicago next summer in advance of its fall 2015 Broadway opening.

Broadway in Chicago, together with Estefan Enterprises and the Nederlander Organization, announced the premiere Tuesday.

Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell ("Kinky Boots") will direct the show, which features new music by the couple with such Gloria Estefan hits as "Rhythm is Gonna Get You," "Live for Loving You" and "Conga."

Alexander Dinelaris ("Zanna Don't") wrote the book. Sergio Trujillo ("Jersey Boys") will choreograph.

Casting and additional creative team members have yet to be announced. Tickets will go on sale at a later date.
