Man shot outside Kanakakee bar

Authorities in Kankakee say a 27-year-old man was shot and killed outside a bar.

Kankakee County Coroner Bob Gessner says LaRoy McDaniel of Kankakee was shot multiple times and pronounced dead early Monday at a hospital. Police say he was shot outside a bar shortly after it closed.

The Daily Journal reported the shooting death is the third homicide in Kankakee County and first homicide in the city of Kankakee this year.
