Get into swing with live music, lesson in St. Charles

This month, Tri-City Swing has invited Chicago's very own Alan Gresik and five selected and hand-picked musicians to perform on Friday, May 16, in the Collins Auditorium, a 1920s-era ballroom, at the Baker Community Center, 101 S. Second St., St. Charles.

There will be beginner swing dance lesson at 6:30 p.m., followed by dancing and music at 7:30 p.m.

The suggested donation is $12 at the door.

This includes the lesson as well as the dance and will allow the group to continue to bring bands like this to the area.

Get dressed up in your most dapper finery for a chance to win the "Best Dressed" contest and receive a $40 scholarship to the swing dance instruction of your choice.
