Step up, senators, to prevent war with Russia

War with Russia seems inevitable, unless our two senators do something about it. It may be too late, but they have known about this for some time now. I have written both of them several times but have not received any acknowledgment from either of them. Hopefully they are working behind the scenes on this, but I think we would have heard something about it by now.

Everyone in the world knows that Vladimir Putin is a tyrant, just like the leaders of Iran, China, North Korea, Syria, etc. As such, agreements do not mean anything to them unless they can use them to obfuscate their real objectives. The world also knows that President Obama is weak on foreign policy and is intentionally downplaying the fact that the U.S. is the only real superpower that can control Putin. Putin know this also and is using it to his advantage.

What worries many is that Putin will launch a strong military attack and Obama will, of necessity, also take strong military action. Then we will have war.

This is not about politics. Our senators, Dick Durbin and Mark Kirk, need to convince their colleagues that the lessons learned leading up to World War II and since require a strong foreign policy. They need to tell President Obama this, and if he does not change, then let's remove him from office. This is the only way to prevent war with Russia and preserve international law.
